LUC was commissioned in January 2023 to support the work of the Councils and to underpin policies in the emerging Joint Local Plan by reviewing and refreshing existing landscape evidence. As part of this work a new joint Landscape Character Assessment (LCA) was produced to replace the previous separate studies for South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse.

The LCA provides a robust evidence base to underpin the production of the Joint Plan and assists in the local planning process.
